Photos and Community Information
You will not find high rise hotels or chain restaurants here. Nosara is a community committed to preserving the beauty of the area while welcoming tasteful, well thought out growth. Nosara is a special place with very special people. The area closest to the beach (Playa Guiones) is bustling with restaurants, hotels, surf shops, and retail shops. If you drive inland to the Nosara River area, you will find the original town of Nosara where the culture is plentiful. There is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. Manufacturing, clinics, schools, and small Costa Rican restaurants are all abundant and tucked in to this part of the community. You must spend some time here to get the full flavor of Nosara. The opening of the Del Mar Academy in 2007 has brought many young families to the area. Sunset on the beach is a social engagement and you will see soccer games, families surfing together, and play dates for young kids and dogs. The weather in Nosara is generally mild throughout the year, averaging temperatures of 80 degrees during the day and 70 degrees in the evening. The green season supplies plenty of rain that supports the lush, tropical surroundings and usually lasts from August to October.
